The Lake Windermere Ambassadors invite area residents to help spiff up our beaches during this year’s Lake Windermere Earth Day Shoreline Cleanup.
Participants will meet at Kinsmen Beach and be assigned locations around the lake which will have a volunteer leader. As part of the project participants will collect data on the types of debris found along their shoreline and the activities that might produce this debris.
For beach cleaners, all materials will be provided including bags and gloves. The project organizers will arrange the disposal of collected garbage. Community groups, businesses, school groups, families and friends are all welcome to join in on this rewarding event.
